February 16, 2004 It's a Monday. And not a very good one at that, so far at least. We'll just have to see where it goes from here. Travis love the electric guitar, so apparently we're not Amish after all. I really like the sound of Mr. B's Vacation. It has a very blues type of sound to it. It reminds me of a good blues jam, almost sounds like the type of song where you could just play it and change the lyrics everytime to fit the situation. But I did come up with a few lyrics that popped into my head while listening to it. I'll post those on the lyrics page. I'm also working on something else that I'll try to post on the lyrics page today as welll. Travis, I hope you're getting over the sniffles okay. Just remember only 25 more days until Spring Training. That should make you feel better. Again I like the electric. And I'll post lyrics today. I have so many ideas for lyrics right now, I'm just trying to sort through them and see what I can find.
February 9, 2004. Wohooo. This is an exciting time, I tell you what. It seems like a long time since the idea for peripheral madness first came about. In fact it has been a long time, over 3 years. The idea of peripheral madness and strategic booty originated at about the same time. It took a few years to find where it was leading us. Just about a year ago Travis and I really started to work on the music together. And it really means a lot to this poor fool. Travis brings the musical genius that I lack and allows me to continue writing and get my ideas out there in the world. Now having the website up makes things even cooler. Peripheral madness will be here for a long time to come. Lock up your daughters, your liquor and your pets. Peripheral Madness is coming to your house.
February 9, 2004. Night time This is nice. A lot has changed in the last few days. I think having the site up sparked our enthusiasm a little. Travis has a couple of songs up and they're sounding pretty good for the most part. Now it's my turn. In the next couple of days I'll add a spot for the lyrics so ya'll can check those out. But for now, Ima add a quick shot of my lyrics here. Untitled (so far) The time has come to go, let's just drive away Let's make this something other than just another day It doesn't matter where we go as long as we get there fast We can't keep living in a version of the past The time has come to go, I need you to know That I'll be back real soon, unless I get lost on the road As the night turns into day, I've never felt so hollow I'm trying to run away, I hope my troubles they don't follow The time has come to go, realize my greatest fear How am I going to live, without you voice inside my ear As the miles all decompose, and get replaced by days I'm trying to heal my broken soul, in all these unfamiliar ways
February 11, 2004 Loving it. The lyrics page is up now. I will be adding some lyrics later today and from here on out. Travis posted a brand new song on the music page, Free by Monday. I like it. It sounds almost like a song with a jam in the middle. My only comment is to maybe expand on that concept a little. First of all maybe more of a transition in and out of that segment. Then maybe extend the jam a little. Have fun with it. Love the whole chicken part. I've only listened through it once or twice so this is just a surface response. I'm going to continue to listen to it. I might post more on this later. Okay, actually the more I listen to it, my opinion changes a little. Rather than a jam, maybe more of a bridge. I stick with the thought of smoothing out the transitions though. But I really do like the content of it and the whole thought pattern behind it. Plus I also like what Travis did with the lyrics when he went back for a reprise of the first verse.
February 18, 2004 I'm still here. Just trying to figure a few things out with the website. I have more lyrics, so check those out. I'll get things figured out soon.
